WHY SHOULD YOU JOIN THE ITA?

When you choose to invest in a membership with the Idaho Trappers Association, you are helping in maintaining a positive public image through predator and wildlife control while sustaining quality habitat for public and private land usage and stewardship. Together, we have and will continue to successfully manage the challenges within the trapping industry. Working together we have the opportunity to build a strong front of individuals and supporters across Idaho and the nation.

The Idaho Trappers Association is a leader on important issues for the trapping, furbearing and wildlife community in Idaho and nationally. Please join the ITA today and help secure the future of Idaho's trapping, hunting, fishing, ranching and outdoor orientated families. The ITA’s mission is clearly defined as an effective voice through cooperative efforts in the conservation and management of Idaho's furbearing animals, in the development and application of proper and effective predator control methods, and to develop and maintain the public image of trapping as a legitimate, desirable, and compatible enterprise of modern man and society.

Attaining successful results on our mission depends on the commitment and dedication of hard working Montana outdoorsmen such as you!

Membership in the Idaho Trappers Association is open to anyone interested in fulfilling the purpose of the organization, in improving the conditions of the trapper by preserving and strengthening the raw fur industry, and in improving the conservation and management of furbearing wildlife and their habitats.

The ITA is here to promote, educate, and protect trapping in Idaho.

Your funds go to a variety of activities and causes:

• Attend several sportsmen shows each year and have a booth to educate about trapping
  
• Attend various banquets to support other organizations and show that ITA is willing to work with other groups
  
• Put on several trap release clinics at various dog events to work with dog owners
  
• Board members attend every Fish and Game Commission meeting making sure we have a voice at all events
  
• Assists with Fish and Game Trapper Education classes and help at various schools teaching trapping during Idaho History month

The ITA is run by unpaid volunteers who are passionate about trapping. We do this on our own time with collected funds through donations and membership dues which go directly toward funding our cause.
