JANUARY 20th,2018 FUR SALE RESULTS: Our first fur sale was a smashing success. With 951 coyotes and 48 bobcats we had a lot of fur. I felt that coyote prices were very strong. I personally had 85 coyotes. One lot had 78 coyotes with a 77 dollar average and 7 rubbed coyotes, I shouldn't have skinned, that brought 14 dollars a piece. Shawn pulled two awesome coyotes out of his pile and got $105 each for them. We had large lots that were no sale at $52 average and $66 averages. I am already getting a lot of cats consigned and have a goal of 250 cats and 500 coyotes for the March sale. The more fur we can get to our sale the more buyers I can get here. Tell everyone you know to bring their fur on March 10th!!! Species-Fur brought in-Average price Badger - 3 - Average: $10.89 Beaver - 5 - Average: $13.22 Bobcat - 48 - Average: $323.15 (Over half cats were no-sales. I think folks are thinking the cat market will pickup and are bringing them back for March sale) Coyote - 951 - Average: $51.31 (Had two big lots that averaged $55 and $66 that were no sale. We had $105 dollar coyotes and we had rubbed $8 dollar coyotes at the sale) Fox - 58 - Average: $19.08 Marten - 35 - Average: $25.16 Mink - 4 - Average: $15.44 Muskrat - 328 - Average: $2.77 Raccoon - 10 - Average: $10.26 Skunk - 5 - Average: $14.10 Thanks Rusty Kramer Idaho Trappers Association President (208) 870-3217
2018 Fur Sale Dates
Greetings all! The membership has spoken and you have all told me you wanted fur sales back. Well your ITA leadership is providing you those fur sales! We have two fur sales scheduled Jan 20th and March 10th at the Armory in Mountain Home. The address is 3845 Hot Creek Road. I already have a lot of buyers that have confirmed they are coming. Please spread the word to anyone you know, ITA members or not. Bring any finished fur, glands, traps or skulls you have to sell. We will also have a couple horn buyers there as well. Heavy coyotes and cats are extremely sought after this year! We will be having a few demos and a general membership meeting. I need at least 8 more volunteers to pull this thing off. Please let me know if you can help!!
Please join or renew your membership! Not only does the ITA provide you with a banquet and fur sales, but we also meet with Fish and Game to set seasons, teach trappers ed classes, put on dog trap release clinics, do trap education at Cabelas days, and are in the middle of a lynx lawsuit that ensured we as trappers have a voice if trap restrictions come down on trappers in lynx zones. WE NEED AS MANY MEMBERS AS WE CAN GET! If you don't know your membership status call or text Melissa at (208) 599-4844 or email at email@example.com.
Thank you Rusty Kramer ITA President (208) 870-3217 firstname.lastname@example.org
